  1. Wow, interesting blog! I'm currently struggling with eczema too & think I had a bad reaction to 1% hydrocortisone cream a month ago. I stopped it due to scary side effects incl very red, dry patches on my skin & very cracked & splitting skin. And I still have eczema after taking it! I was on it for 3 wks before stopping

    1. Thanks for stopping by! Yup, red skin, dry patches, itchy... Cracked splitting skin... Sounds about right. I feel your pain. It really is scary, especially if you don't know why your rash is getting worse, which usually leads to another doctor visit, stronger Rx's, so on and so forth. If you had only taken it for a few weeks, then you should clear up rather quickly. It does not take long for your skin to become addicted to the TS creams, they say about 2 weeks. So, the sooner you toss that cream out, the better! Your eczema will hang around for a bit, plus we are in a season change and that always messes my skin up. Always! I also stopped using moisturizers because I found that it made my skin more red and more itchy. The only thing I will use on the really cracked/dry areas (lips, ears and eyelids) is Vaseline, maybe once a day. I bathe in dead sea salts and believe it or not, my skin is tolerable after that. I hope that your skin clears up soon... I'm sure that it will. You just gotta tough it out! Clear skin is on the horizon. :)

And, I will be updating my blog every 3-4 days, so you can always check here for helpful resources or information. Good luck!

  2. Hello Jennifer,

My name is Danny and I'm just after coming across your page. I've been using betnovate on my face for about 9-10 years now as I have Seborrheic Dermatitis. Recently I've only started researching the negative effects of it and I've made the decision that I am going to stop using it. I was just wondering does everybody go through severe TSW or is it quite a rare thing to happen?
